On June 11, 2026, at approximately 3:53 a.m., a crash occurred on northbound State Route 86 north of 50th Ave in Riverside County involving a tractor-trailer that was on its side and caught fire after the collision. According to the California Highway Patrol California Highway Patrol, officers responded and the roadway was shut down at 50th Ave while fire crews handled the burning semi and investigators worked the scene. The CHP later reported no major injuries and no transports from the scene, with only minor injuries noted during the initial response. The highway remained closed for an extended period as crews cleared debris and worked to reopen lanes.
